Theatre Atelier is the theater team of the Faculty of Fine Arts (Zamalek) at Helwan University.
Founded in 1973 by the renowned theater director Samir Al-Asfoury, the team has operated successfully and continuously since its inception, achieving numerous accomplishments at various levels: within the university, among Egyptian universities, and within the Egyptian independent theater community.
Throughout its history, the Atelier Theatre has contributed to shaping the structure of Egyptian independent theatre by establishing and launching pioneering independent troupes, most notably:
